Who We Are
L.B.A (Lansing Bamiléké Association) is a non-profit organization which recognizes that culture is sacred and needs to be preserved, whereas there is no Bamiléké culture in greater Lansing. Celebrate Bamiléké culture and African tradition general is a dedicated platform that brings together individuals passionate about African traditions and cultural preservation. We strive to create a space where cultural exchange flourishes.
What We Do
Our goal is to promote unity, cooperation and harmony among its members and ease their integration in the surrounding community through social, cultural, intellectual and economical activities. We have also been established to reach the following aims:
a. To preserve, promote and share the culture and traditions of Bamiléké.
b. To create and maintain relations with other Associations, Corporations, Foundations, public or private bodies, in order to mobilize resources to help attain his objectives.
c. To create a forum where all Bamiléké, residing, arriving, visiting or in transit in Greater Lansing, can meet, acquaint, socialize, and help one another.
d. To assist in social, economical, and professional integration of Bamiléké residing in Greater Lansing and to promote their well-being in the American society.
e. To create and stimulate members interest in active participation in collective action of development.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a global community that values and respects Bamiléké heritage, fostering a sense of pride, belonging, and interconnectedness among people of all backgrounds.
